Kick off your Optech 2024 day with an energizing morning at the Runtech 5K! Hosted by WithMe, Flamingo, PointCentral & ApartmentList this fun 5K run or walk takes place at the beautiful National Harbor, MD, during the conference. Join us on the morning of Tuesday October 22nd, starting at 7:00 am. The event begins at the Potomac River Waterfront Park, offering stunning views as you make your way through the route. Meet us at 6:45 am at the starting point, which is a few steps from the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Whether you’re sprinting, jogging, or taking a leisurely walk, this event is the perfect way to start your day with fellow industry professionals. Enjoy AguaPlus water at the finish line, network with peers, and make the most of this unique conference experience.

Route
Starting Point: Gaylord Convention Center
We will meet right outside the main entrance of the convention center. Look out for the pink t-shirt crowd!
Starting at Gaylord Convention Center, the route takes you along the picturesque waterfront, providing a refreshing view of the Potomac River. You’ll follow the pathway as it winds through the scenic area, heading towards Fort Washington. After reaching the turnaround point near Fort Washington, you’ll loop back along the same route, returning to the park for the finish. This flat, mostly smooth course is ideal for all fitness levels, ensuring everyone can enjoy a rewarding and invigorating run or walk.
